Budget tight " THE DOWNTIMES"

I don’t want to pretend that my whole existence is perfect and not able to experience downtimes, I’m human first of all and I was not born with a golden poop…!

When I say: Downtimes it is when we feel that everything has been taken away from us, no money nor possible success of a project by which we’re hoping to be another source of income… every luck has no place and  it feels that the world has neglected us..

Once in our lives we experience shortness in our budget and it’s all up to us how to adjust with the limited cash on hand…

Here are my bits and tips if the world seems so cruel &
Penniless ( ahem!!)

1.)    Prioritize NEEDS especially for the kids

- As parents, it is our responsibility to keep our kids healthy and at least have everything in need (school/home and others) even in a budget tight situation

2.)    Promotional or ON-SALE items
- take advantage of the bundle goods in cut-off prices, this is also the time to discover unknown and less expenssive goods

3.)    Penny Wise
-a hundred cents makes a dollar, use the concept to save, when buying: always look at the price every penny count

4.)    Eat at home and Learn to recycle food
- From my experience, eating at home had saved us almost 45% of our budget
-         Oh please!!! Not the dirty ones, Leftovers can be recycled into one great dish, so learn to innovate….
-
5.)    Explore Free Places

-  We need a place where we can find peace and away from crisis
A stroll in the park or enjoy the beach side are just few of many good places we can visit with the family without spending alot

                                 6.)     Store brand Goods

- FYI: I’ve been experimenting /doing product testing for like years price and quality wise, I would suggest to try STORE BRAND GOODS, these products are basically  60% lesser than the known brand in terms of price, Surprisingly a very well made products!! (Well of course, the brand and quality will live up to the standard)

7.)    Always have the Extra cash for Emergency purposes
8.)    Have plenty of activities at home for the kids
9.)    Choosing the right food and be Healthy
      - Have you notice the trend??  Healthy & green foods are less expensive compare to the big size oily expensive junk??

10.)     Find a support system thru your trusted friends and Family

11.)  Always have the positive faith and attitude when facing downtimes,

Remember:  positive attitude = positive result (oh!!  pregnant!! Hahaha) what I mean is, if you think positively good things may come to you

Don’t let the problem control you!! Be the driver of your life.... Drive it with confidence and into the right way…!

Reality Check: Event Management

I assumed that each and every one of us has the ability to organized and plan; it is a given talent….

photo:thefrisky.com

EVENT MANAGEMENT- It may sound so expensive but in reality by having somebody or proper management of an event could be less expensive with a better outcome,

I’ll tell you…

We were invited to an event particularly my son as he was listed as the 7 roses, the event was pattern to a debut program but only the celebrant is turning 7 instead of 18

Personally, I was excited about it , My first time to attend a magical princess theme event with my son as part of the program, the invitation was handed over to me a week before the event but quite stunned as my son’s full name was written wrong but nevertheless I did not care about it, (honest mistake perhaps!!)

So finally the day has come and we were all prepared for the party, we arrived at the place 9:10pm- 10 mins late as per the time indicated in the invitation but to our dismay the place was totally freaking messy,  Nothing has been set up!!

I get inside and asked one person whose busy clearing up the carpets

She answered me with a bit of an angry voice;

Actually, we were also informed to be here at 6 pm but we cannot set up the instrument because no one is assisting us, it takes 2 hours to set things up…!

I was so ready to forget everything and go but I don’t want to ruin the program since I already confirmed that my son will be there as expected.  To cover up the time, I requested my husband to drive us in near place for a stroll till 10:45pm then we immediately go back to the event

However, as we entered into the “ROYAL HALL” I was disgusted with what I have seen:
The place was almost full and crowded, women in heavy make up wearing very inappropriate dresses , NO refreshment was served, no usherette , there were lots of smokers and very noisy crowd to the extend that the host needs to beg the visitors to  shut up…

My disappointment is beyond belief, till now, I could not comprehend if the party was organized for the benefit of the child or for something else…..

********************************************************************************

Now, this is where I draw the line on the importance of Event Management,

I’m not an expert but I have managed several big and small events and yet none a single negativity was heard from my clients & Visitors….

When organizing a party or an event there are factors to be considered:

1.)   The celebrant
2.)   The Budget
3.)   The THEME
4.)   The Guest
5.)   The Accessibility of the location
6.)   The Capability of the Place
7.)   The Timings
8.)   The  FOOD
9.)   The Souvenirs ( if applicable)

To sum up the above:

The celebrant is the most important person in the event

Stretch your budget

Stick to the theme

Make the list of guest who is important to the celebrant

Find a suitable location appropriate to the theme, guest and estimated numbers of visitors

Timings is very important- Plan the proper time and make sure you are able to meet the schedule

Good Food and having more than enough is a satisfaction of every guest

Be creative and have something for the guest to bring along with them

A good Planning is the Key, be specific, have plenty of time to think and lay your plans, do not be embarrassed to ask for assistance or support

Remember:  you are the host and it is your responsibility to make sure people are comfortable, enjoying themselves and have what they need.

I'd Rather Have the One who Holds my Heart

I was listening to the song this morning, I was like static!!...  The chorus is just soooo intense; I stood still and let my emotions flows in the air, it’s a wonderful feeling when you know that one person you’re so deeply in love will hold your hands and face the world with no conditions

The songs simply grace into the pain of reality, we do not understand it at times but it’s actually a test of destiny, Temptations/ Barriers in different forms and faces simply come & go, it’s deceiving especially when everything fell into superficial happiness "blind-sided"

Always remember that: the world was created in perfection and so as the bond between husband and wife, beyond what heart and mind can't speak,  REAL LOVE  is self less, forgiving and can see right from wrong, it's not blind nor deaf , it is strong -for it can stand in any twist of hardship....

Ann Landers

I’m not saying my marriage is perfect because 7 years of marriage is nothing but I considered it as an achievement in a shape of a better curve, we have our bad times which we tried to live it out in our way, Marriage is not simple as it spell, it is a lifetime commitment of life and love..

Start the New Year by seeing the truth within, Love is precious and so as the PERSON you love!!!  Learn to forgive and pray that separation is not always the solution, take time and looked back seek that moment you found love in the eyes of the person you’ve loved once in your life!!!!

Happy NEW YEAR!!!

Christmas in the Land of Non-Believers

photosource:www.graphix1.co.u

Christmas in Philippines is phenomenal something I’m always proud of, we celebrate even in a deepest despair in our lives, we find Christmas as time to share, love & forgive...

But How to spend Christmas in the land of Non-Believers & Away from our love ones:

1.)    Set up common time & date with the family for a chat or call

Technology in this generation plays a vital role in keeping the people abroad connected to their families in their respective home countries
Keep a schedule of time and date on or before Christmas for a chat or call

2.)    Have a dinner or Hang-out with co-workers or Friends

Don’t jailed yourself inside your room or work 24/7  to numb the feeling towards  the reality, it is good to have a friend a common nationality or a co-workers can be your instant comfort buddy, tap and invite good people to hang out and talk

3.)    Movie Marathon

When you don’t have that energy or time or whatever excuses you have to go out, it is sometimes great to just be lazy and watch good movies

4.)    Shopping/ Window Shopping

Either way, have those extra minutes to enjoy and buy yourself a gift after the hard work

5.)    Decorate your crib

Christmas is fun & Joyful and it is not complete without colors and light, decorate your house/room with Christmas ornament, afterall, colorful decoration can energize the sorrounding and makes you feel bit relax

6.)    Pay time to Thank Jesus  for everything

The simplest but the greatest gift we can give is to thank HIM for the wonderful years of our lives!!

For expats like me:

We are in a country where Christmas is just a day with happy and colorful lights, we can always choose to be lonely and sad but there is always a way to celebrate the season with the essence of hope, love & faith away from our loves ones

Let us not forget that, even if it's not Christmas always have the space in your heart to share and accept  joy, forgiveness & love because it is then we find the meaning of life

Wishing Everyone a
Merry Busy Christmas
 and a Happy New Year!!

Light & Snap Experiment (Mom & Son Moment)

Every night before heading for a good night sleep, me and my eldest son always have the time  for small talk and play but last night, we filled the darkness of the room with a creative snaps….
It’s one of the many moments we trully enjoyed and my son really loves every angle of the photos!!

Nanny Talk: Cruelty!

The world is full of pretty faces and rotten souls , for the last two weekends I can’t seek a better sleep at night because I always have the scene in my mind, the cruelty and shameless acts that keeps me wandered and shattered

We were at the shack shake the other day @the grand avenues seated inside would called it a family area, behind us was a group of ladies ( 3 teens, 1 mom, 2 kids and a nanny)  they were feasting and enjoying a huge tray of food along with lots of shared talks…  but beyond the picture of joy was a disturbing scene which makes my heart cry…

a NANNY wearing an orange uniform sitting with them, she was trying to destruct herself by looking at the ceiling or in many directions her eyes can reached, she was not given/offered a food not a single fries or even a water,  seems like "the ladies" are very used to such kind of scenario as they were not bothered by the person in front of them who is trying to stay still at the midst of the temptation
they leave the table with a couple of half eaten burgers, untouched fries and colas,  you can see how the poor starving nanny with her teary eyes looking at the leftovers, she walks behind them  like a small puppy with a pile of shopping bags on her hands!!  starving and looking pale without a jacket in winter season

I secretly starred at them from the moment they passed by our table, I no longer see pretty faces but their real ugly souls, it’s terrible and I can only offer my prayer to the nanny because  even if I would want to hand a tray of food to her I might end up in a huge fight with the daughters of satan, I'm working and walking in a foreign land which I have no power to do such

Perhaps, only our creator knows how to end up the cruelty in the world we live in, Time has its own way of twisting our fate, we might have the fame, power and richness today but it doesn’t mean FOREVER!!

“You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.”

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Project: New Year Promise

I still have the hang after witnessing few events of Chinese sky lantern ceremony; it’s a great feeling just to look at the floating lantern in the sky, the fire gracefully waving as it fades up high, amazing and romantic at the same time…

And this coming new year,  my project is to try it myself, I have a friend in china who is supplying this and would buy a pack just in case I will not be successful in the first try…!!

I cross my fingers and will look forward to see myself  lighting my own lantern in the given time, surpassing the belief of dooms day as 2012 bend to say GOOD BYE!

Joining me into this project would be a pleasure and you don't need to be in the same state, we can do it even in a distant, will set the date and share the moment,  it would be fun!!

Insurance On-Line

Such a clever idea…! this will save lots of time and hussle!!

 Good one Enaya!!

Please, never, ever, give yourselves cause for regret by not ensuring your Wives or Daughters (and possibly Sons), are not able to defend them. One of the saddest expressions known to man is "Too Late", don't be one of the people saying this when it is!
