As the horse season comes to an end, Monday racing has become more intense than ever! Last Monday racing was soooooooo much fun that every race was like a blast!! There is more cheering than every other Monday, and even I feel like I'm part of them as they watch the horses near the finish line! I wish the WINTER season in Kuwait would never end!

STORY TIME: What is 1 Minute?!! Losing myself...

Early morning at work, I found myself running to do my fingerprint attendance, It’s already 1 minute past the grace period, and in that moment, I am already super upset and panicking , in my mind, I could have parked in-front of the office then do the attendance instead of parking the car in my designated area that took me a minute late, as I reached my desk a warm brew coffee was already prepared then I start to question myself, why do I get upset???

What the heck is 1 minute? Would it be worth losing myself for 1 minute?

I'm glad someone gave me a coffee in advance everyone in the office knows me so well when I am upset or unhappy, they can either calm me down with a warm, steaming cup of coffee or some fried noodles. As the sun started to set, I took time to just sit and relax in the racing track, it is where I comfort myself and breathe, while walking up the stairs I noticed one of the pharmacy staff (our company's co-branch, a neighbourhood shop) was inside the car, he was watching youtube on this phone laughing like he was on his bed, he looks so comfortable inside his car making it as his very own bedroom, while the pharmacy was jampacked with so many customers, everyone was super busy, he remained unbothered!!

Despite repeatedly checking to see if he would move or at least get out of the car and help, he just stayed keep watching movies and sleeping all day long. I was irritated witnessing all the laziness in-front of me so I asked him what he was doing when he was hired to work in the pharmacy as helper.

"He replied that he was only working PART-TIME and receiving a low salary of 180KD for 6 hours. ( take note: The company provided him with a private car for transport and free gasoline")

BEYOND shocked is all there is to react !!!! my eyebrow and heart beat keep rising, it has no more space to extent higher!!!!  how fat his skin to just say that!! when there are so many expats working 12-14 hours for 90kd without any other benefits!! every fils/cents and minute of that 90KD is their blood and sweat!

while this FU&^&% Hippo.... Watching movies on his phone, he sat in his car all day. He leaves for home before his working hours, claiming to be a part-time worker. I'm in disbelief that he defines working part-time as simply being present and choosing what to do!

WHY would a company keep tracking each of us for every minute when they have a person who has a car and fuel expense under the company , comes to watch and continue his sleeps at work?

Out of Curiosity, I asked people at the pharmacy why this person was taking advantage of the system. Then, I learned that his brother worked for one of the owners of the company as a PERSONAL DRIVER and Most of their relatives are all household workers at the owner's house, which means that this PART TIMER is completely trusted by the owner. Case closed! He's been here for a year and no one complains.

Honestly, I feel extremely frustrated and angry, but I also feel that I should pity him What is it about 180KD + Free CAR + Gasoline UNFAIR? perhaps it is his LUCK but sadly he took advantage of it!! he will never know the value of the things and opportunity until it is taken  away. DIVINE JUSTICE never sleeps.

So what is 1 minute less of my time?? I work with pride and integrity for 8-9 hours each day that 1 minute late feels like I have already disappointed the company.  I can go home with a clear conscience knowing that I have served my master to the best of my ability

That's 1 minute!! See you tomorrow!! (lols)

My First Bugsha Market Experience in Kuwait

After opening my first ever small gift shop in Kuwait, I decided to join StreetFood BUGSHA market, it's one of the biggest 3 days local fair, showcasing the best street foods and creative products from local retail shops,  I’m an avid fan of fairs and exhibits, I should say that, this particular organization is definitely a winner, very organize and the marketing itself is superb!! One big clap to the whole team!!

So let me take you to the whole process and experience of being part of the event, It's amazing how universe find its way to make things POSSIBLE!! DREAMS do COME true!!

DAY 1 – THURSDAY

For first timer like me, well, not fully "first timer" I've joined fairs several times I’m actually not very new to this, but for some reason, I felt so pressured and stress when I just want to  Enjoy the experience and make a lot of money (lols),  so the on the1st  day, the excitement turn to sour because I was sick, I’m on duty at my regular work and the worst is,  I did not prepare my things… I felt like I was on the verge of falling apart!! , the organizer called me as I am the one booth who did not do decorations with only 3 hours to the opening, I’m super stress and physically weak on the first day that I have to share same stress to my husband and sister, because that’s what family for!!  we shared the stress!!! Hahahaha….. Hubby went extra mile taking off from work just to get the stocks from the shop, and my sister with her hubby which coincidently on short vacation they are free as a bird, they drove extra fast to gather decorations and get things done… in short my first day was a disaster and a miracle, I dearly witnessed the love and care of the people I called family, we managed to pull things off with very limited resources, went on display  just in-TIME…. And Surprisingly sell many things on the first day!!

By the way, NBK was one of the Major sponsor yet it super hard to get their assistance even if I am as well an NBK customer for years, I was applying for certificate to get K-NET service via TAP, I visited my branch to submit documents and do follow-up, their response is to wait for 5-7 days which is already after the show,  (not even certain if they are going to approve)  it's crazy!!!

For First timers/joiners and you want to have the KNET service, GULF BANK and BOUBYAN BANK are very accommodating and fast, have all your documents prepared and submit, it takes 2-3 days to issue the certificate. Highly recommended specially for EXPATS, you won't feel any discrimination at all!

DAY 2 -3 – FRIDAY & SATURDAY

After all the first day drama and mistakes, I’ve learned  a lot, so I woke up early, or better yet I did not sleep the entire night, preparing things, I close the shop temporarily for 2 days  and apply for early leave at work so I can  focus on the last two days of the event,

We started very early and multitasked (eating while working hehehe) till we are fully satisfied with the designs and decoration, I was so ready and well prepared on the 2nd day, as the exhibit opened I can feel my energy comes into very positive state,  the entire family was with me , all out support!!!

I always believed that, when preparation meets opportunity it’s a bomb!!! And that’s what I felt in that instant!! It feels good to do your thing with the people who sincerely support your passion!!

Overall, it was a great experience, super TIRING but it’s all worth it… should I’ll be joining the next one???  Well, not now…I super need rest, and I know, I still have to fully prepared and commit myself entirely because joining such event is not easy, its physically and mentally tensed but every after challenges is worthwhile!!!   Perhaps, in the next season I will be back!!

Thank you so much STREETFOOD event for the experience!!!! and to my FAMILY, you are all  that I have,  I am blessed and grateful to have such amazing people supporting and sincerely loving me for who I truly am  and in the craziest things I want to do in life!!

EXPAT READS: THE FIRESTARTER

Nothing can actually describe my feelings right now, I just came out from eye clinic and guess what?! my optometrist prescribed a higher grade glasses for my eyes, never did I feel regret for I know, I constantly abuse my eyes obsessing on reading and accessing my laptops for reviews, I have no regrets but I wish I could have prevented it. because it's not worth to lose something as important as an eyesight in exchange for pieces of information.  so anyone out there obsessing over books and reading without proper lighting please be careful and takes care of your precious eyes nothing can ever replace the beauty it posses to see the world in perfect colors.

Anyway, beyond my concern as I am sure I'm going to get over with this, I will take care of my eyes in every moment I breathe, I wanted to share this amazing book with you, it is called the FIRESTARTER -- How innovators, instigators, and initiators can inspire you to ignite your won life.  for anyone who's been following my blog over the years, you know that I'm a fan of self-help books and anything alike, I could only wish to publish a book under my name, perhaps soon.

FIRESTARTERS is initially like a manual based on studies and experience of others, what I like about it is the information and the realizations I got from the experiences of others, how they become who they are today, their experiences, their mindset to achieve something so significant out of ordinary people who wanted to use their fire within to become leaders, innovators and so on...

I am personally transformed by the way of thinking and setting myself out of the boundary. I super love this book and would recommend it to all mother's like me and to the people who would want find themselves out of their ordinary lives to find their passion in life and help shape the world.

it's available in Jarir Book Store- Boulevard salmiya, it's worth your time and money!!

Regretted applying Petroleum jelly on my Hair

The Weather  was sunny in Singapore visiting from places to places was very tiring and sweaty at the same time, So I have to bun my hair most  of the time not knowing that by doing such thing every day makes your hair wavy dry and flaky ( dandruff) , so coming back in Kuwait when things back to its slow phase, I started to see the consequences of my actions, it damaged my hair from root to tip.

I went from channel to channel in YouTube looking for home hair remedies, the very commonly found remedy is putting a vaseline/Petroleum Jelly on the hair then leave it for 30 mins as crazy as it sounds, I did it!! and guess what!!! I  totally regretted doing it..!! My GAWD!!! please people before putting that vaseline in your hair READ THIS!!!... its not something you want to try, whatever they said the end results, it's not true at all, please buy hair products instead of experimenting!!  or go to the salon for a hair repair.  It will save both your time and hair! Trust me

NOT VASELINE/PETROLEUM JELLY!!

It turns out, Vaseline makes your hair very greasy, thick and unmanageable, like putting a whole BOTTLE OF cooking oil into your hair, I ended up, washing my hair for consecutive 8x's  ( 4x's with regular shampoo + 4x's with dishwashing liquid) and I have to do it again the next day, then condition my hair again and again till it goes back to its natural shape and moist.

I eventually go to the salon as well for hot oil and trim... it took me a week to get things back to normal and repair all the damages.

One thing i've learnec or shall I say, " proven " that fairy dishwashing liquid really is a 100% go od in removing grease the best dishwashing liquid that is hahahahaha

Burst of Emotions-- Real Story

Normal late night, I was in a deep sleep, when I suddenly have that urge to go the toilet... my eyes still heavy little bit open to glimse the way to the toilet then suddenly, a white headless thing floating in front of me in the middle of the very dark room...

I was shouting like crazy!!! almost had peed on my pajama, my god.. never in my entire adult life did I experience than a sudden burst of emotions.

It's crazy and funny at the same time!! found myself shouting, shivering and laughing at the same time!! Imagine that!!  (real story) hahahaha
