It's been awhile since my last visit to kuwait City, after SOUK SAlmiya became a hot spot, Kuwait City has become less and less popular among Filipinos. I, for one, find it more convenient to go to SOUK whenever I crave Filipino food or anything Filipino.
My kids like Filipino foods. They are born in Kuwait and don't speak much of the Filipino language much but by heart, they are obsessed with Filipino food. Yesterday, we headed to Kuwait City for BRUNCH. I wanted traditional Filipino breakfast dishes like TAPSILOG ( Fried Marinated Beef, Rice, Egg), Tocilog ( Sweet Marinated Chicken Egg and Rice), and soup.
As we arrived in UTC, the first floor area where the famous HALO-HALO is located, we were greeted by so many filipino servers who invited us to dine in their designated resto. We chose to dine in BARRIO FIESTA simply because the name itself sounds very filipino. A lady in dress (hahahaha) gave us a colorful laminated menu, after we ordered, I slowly observed the place. I can't believe nothing has changed. There are more shops but fewer people, the service is fast. Our food was ready in a few minutes and it tasted the way we wanted!! it suppppperrr YUM!!! the price is so reasonable, I think we paid, 10KD for the entire order good for 5 people
We were so hungry I totally forgot to take good photos haahahahah..... sooo sorry, but anyhow, it's always fun to visit Kuwait City every once in a while. I think it's better now than before because there are fewer people, it's a pleasant experience.
