Kite Flying on the Weekend..Super Fun

On a typical FRIDAY after I officially open a small shop located in Hawally, I usually stay home or go out for breakfast with the family. Since I feel committed to completing all chores at home, I immediately go home.

I was overly stressed the previous days, and woke up on Friday just wanting to get out and breathe. My kids are also in need of some fresh space to explore and refresh their minds after exams and studies.

So early Friday morning, we bought some Filipino pack foods and headed to BNEIDAR to watch kite flying. It's in the middle of a desert, has no fees or anything like that. Just drive there, park your car, and have fun.

A super fun and inexpensive way to relax, eat, and enjoy the place over the weekend.

Simple Filipino BRUNCH at the CITY

It's been awhile since my last visit to kuwait City, after SOUK SAlmiya became a hot spot, Kuwait City has become less and less popular among Filipinos. I, for one, find it more convenient to go to SOUK whenever I crave Filipino food or anything Filipino.

My kids like Filipino foods. They are born in Kuwait and don't speak much of the Filipino language much but by heart, they are obsessed with Filipino food. Yesterday, we headed to Kuwait City for BRUNCH. I wanted traditional Filipino breakfast dishes like TAPSILOG ( Fried Marinated Beef, Rice, Egg), Tocilog ( Sweet Marinated Chicken Egg and Rice), and soup.

As we arrived in UTC, the first floor area where the famous HALO-HALO is located, we were greeted by so many filipino servers who invited us to dine in their designated resto. We chose to dine in BARRIO FIESTA simply because the name itself sounds very filipino. A lady in dress (hahahaha) gave us a colorful laminated menu, after we ordered, I slowly observed the place. I can't believe nothing has changed. There are more shops but fewer people, the service is fast. Our food was ready in a few minutes and it tasted the way we wanted!! it suppppperrr YUM!!! the price is so reasonable, I think we paid, 10KD for the entire order good for 5 people

We were so hungry I totally forgot to take good photos haahahahah..... sooo sorry,  but anyhow, it's always fun to visit Kuwait City every once in a while. I think it's better now than before because there are fewer people, it's a pleasant experience.

Enjoying the Fog in Kuwait

I can say that this year's winter is somewhat I truly enjoy, maybe becoz I’m getting older and matured I am becoming more appreciative of little things, like flowers, weather, coffee and many more, I don’t usually see these things as I feel it’s just part of my routine but after COVID and so many traumatic experiences, I came to a point where sunshine, water or air is just as important as living a life every single day.

One day, I woke into a cold foggy morning!! I smiled and Thank God for the moment, I hurriedly get dress for work, drive myself into the invisibility of the weather, it’s AMAZING!!!  I felt like I’m in another realm, so peaceful and heavenly!

Enjoy every moment of Everyday, Take chances and live your life!!!

Whats on JACC-KW Events

I always remember my very first experience of opera show: The King & I,

I was speechless the entire time, it's very different when there is that live connection with the performers, you can see them perform in upfront & up-close every moment, breath and sound is surreal.

Opera, Cultural & Broadway shows are not as common as movies in Kuwait but it is one of I guess the revered form of social experience,  it is something that we all should experience in our lives.

Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Cultural Center has made all things possible to have all great shows and operas in Kuwait, check out their latest events.

you can book tickets thru their website JACC-KW
