Regretted applying Petroleum jelly on my Hair

The Weather  was sunny in Singapore visiting from places to places was very tiring and sweaty at the same time, So I have to bun my hair most  of the time not knowing that by doing such thing every day makes your hair wavy dry and flaky ( dandruff) , so coming back in Kuwait when things back to its slow phase, I started to see the consequences of my actions, it damaged my hair from root to tip.

I went from channel to channel in YouTube looking for home hair remedies, the very commonly found remedy is putting a vaseline/Petroleum Jelly on the hair then leave it for 30 mins as crazy as it sounds, I did it!! and guess what!!! I  totally regretted doing it..!! My GAWD!!! please people before putting that vaseline in your hair READ THIS!!!... its not something you want to try, whatever they said the end results, it's not true at all, please buy hair products instead of experimenting!!  or go to the salon for a hair repair.  It will save both your time and hair! Trust me

NOT VASELINE/PETROLEUM JELLY!! 

It turns out, Vaseline makes your hair very greasy, thick and unmanageable, like putting a whole BOTTLE OF cooking oil into your hair, I ended up, washing my hair for consecutive 8x's  ( 4x's with regular shampoo + 4x's with dishwashing liquid) and I have to do it again the next day, then condition my hair again and again till it goes back to its natural shape and moist.   

I eventually go to the salon as well for hot oil and trim... it took me a week to get things back to normal and repair all the damages.

One thing i've learnec or shall I say, " proven " that fairy dishwashing liquid really is a 100% go od in removing grease the best dishwashing liquid that is hahahahaha

Burst of Emotions-- Real Story

Normal late night, I was in a deep sleep, when I suddenly have that urge to go the toilet... my eyes still heavy little bit open to glimse the way to the toilet then suddenly, a white headless thing floating in front of me in the middle of the very dark room... 

I was shouting like crazy!!! almost had peed on my pajama, my god.. never in my entire adult life did I experience than a sudden burst of emotions.

It's crazy and funny at the same time!! found myself shouting, shivering and laughing at the same time!! Imagine that!!  (real story) hahahaha

Creative Idea: Coffee Cup Handler

Can’t help but loving the idea of this coffee cup handler in Singapore, I feel that we should have it Kuwait, very convenient , environmental friendly (biodegradable) and much too say, cheaper than the usual coffee take away trays or paper bags….

The Wedding Dresses

I was with my family yesterday for a small birthday celebration of my brother, I don’t get much of the time to be with family because of our schedules but when there are occasions we ensure to have the time to be there, Oh Happy Brithday Brother with all my heart….

Anyway, it’s my first time to dine in Shakey’s and I must say, I love their food, I will write a separate review on that, however, on the same location, there is a wedding boutique that captured my eyes, the very moment I laid eyes on the dresses, I feel that the same emotions during my wedding day, ohhh!! Not the pressure/stressful feeling, but the feeling of being excited and happy. I super love the gown I could not resist getting inside the shop for a photo session (heheheheh) the lady in the shop is so nice to let me take few photos of the display.

I just love being there, the place was so organized and warm, I have no feelings of hesitation coming in not even knowing if the owner will allow me or not!! Shop owners discriminate sometimes especially if you are expats belong to3rd world country.  But this shop is just overwhelming with wonderful creation and a very positive vibes!! But sadly due to my mixed emotions and excitement I was not able to see the shop name so I’m posting this here for chance to show this beautiful crafted gowns to the public…

It is located on the same building of Shakey’s and Five Guys, 2^nd floor in Salmiya….

THE FOUNDER : Risk Taker, Rule Breaker, Game Changer

I posted new article yesterday about mind setting and fears, I wonder where do this calling takes me, I was reading a book yesterday and my older son accidentally played a movie on TV titled : THE FOUNDER it is a true story of how the famous MC Donalds become an Americanized Famous Fast food chain in the world. 

It started with a great and humble stories from the original owners : the McDonald’s brothers, they were fascinated with so many things, create new ideas, until they discover the concept of speedy service  on a fast food chain set-up, it’s amazing how they were jumping from one opportunity to another with so much positivity that they were able plot and find ways to succeed even how difficult it is, they never give up on something they believe, they have the talent, confidence and intelligence. 

However, with the success of their McDonald's speedy concept restaurant, a small time businessman Ray Kroc who has been unsuccessful in creating a name for his business been driving all over America to sell  ice cream mixer products, until he met the McDonald's brother, one of the brother is extra nice to Ray that he was able to convinced the other brother to give Ray a tour on their successful first ever McDonald's restaurant, in exchange, Ray invited the brothers for a dinner to learn their stories.

Ray Kroc immediately loved the concept of the restaurant that he started dreaming about ideas of franchising and convinced the McDonald's brother get into his franchising concept years later with the persistence work of Ray Kroc,  McDonald's became the largest and fastest growing fast food chain in the USA and has expanded internationally

until then, RAY KROC has taken the management of McDonald's for himself and become the founder of McDonald's, leaving the McDonald's brothers with only one store that eventually closed not able to keep up with the hype.

In a scene where Ray Kroc was practicing for a speech in front of the mirror, he mentioned about the word PERSISTENCE, and that’s what he used to make it into the business after so many failures in life, he uses this to make a name for himself and raise beyond expectations. ( I’m feeling really bad for the Mc donald’s brother, betrayal and greediness at its best!!)

The movie is an eye opener that, Education and Intelligence are not enough to be successful, there are many successful people who are not able to finish school but I’m not saying that it’s good to neglect school, it is always great to have the right knowledge and a hard earned degree.

Combine education and intelligence with persistence, patience and confidence, the world has so much opportunities for those who look beyond the box and work beyond themselves, set your mind to become who you want to become, be smart in all your plans and be wise in all decisions.

New found Fave Shawarma in Kuwait

This deserve a space in my blog, ( actually kind late posting this)’

Anyway, prior to our Asian tour, Hubby and I dropin’ by City Center Salmiya to buy some stuff, I was hungry so I immediately went to the food court to grab at least something to quench my hunger,   So I bought a grilled chicken shawarma from KASADIA GRILLO

it’s very tasty!!!  Actually, finished the whole shawarma in just one sitting, order another one for hubby and the next day we came back to buy more, then so on….   I personally love it and I would highly recommend it ! 

it’s a must try… sooo yummy! I swear!!

A Walk in the Fantasy World Universal Studio Singapore

Singapore is just too amazing to let go, but we have to bid farewell to go back to our lives in kuwait to make a living, anyhow, here’s a glimpse in this so called fantasy world UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE,  I apologize for the pictures as I have to limit my uploads due to space restrictions, I’m using only a “NOT-SO FAMOUS CHINESE TAB” to blog this,  will update more on this when I get back to Kuwait

Salicylic Acid + Garlic = Miracle cure for scaly itchy skin

Been experiencing super dry scaly skin in between my fingers particularly in the thumb area,  I tried so many creams and lotion but nothing seems to work,  until, I used salicylic acid and a garlic, it works wonderful!! 

The process is simple : In the Morning, Clean the area with soap and water, apply salicylic Acid using cotton then at night prior to sleeping, cut a garlic in half directly apply it on the skin in circular motion then leave it overnight, exactly 3 days my patches and dry skin gone like nothing happen…  

oh! Don’t forget to moisturize and use hand gloves when using products that has strong harmful ingredients like: Laundry and Cleaning soap, etc…

 By the way, this is based on my personal experience and I’m not a doctor….

Mind setting and Fears

Often wonder how people changed their lives by just believing, yes!! I’m a fan of motivational videos and anything alike, even driving to work, I usually listen to any motivational speeches on my radio, I have like 30 in y file mp3 file, so like every day, I drive to work with all these speeches on my radio, I always believed that I needed something to start my day right,  working in a management level is definitely stressful I have to be super active, focus and patience in many aspect of my job to ensure that I give proper service to my people and to the company.

So as I continue to watch all these inspiration videos, speeches from tedtalk and more, I wonder how these people get their strength, how they are able to turn their back on their amazing jobs for passion, in all honesty, I have so many things in my mind that I really want to pursue but I feel there are so many things I fear that would hinders me from doing, one is I’m a working expat mom in Kuwait, residency is very much important, quitting my job means the end of my residency in Kuwait, although, there are options but it’s too risky as I have my kids and family to think about.

I might be just in the middle confusion where all things I foresee is just too hard to achieve, but I’m not giving up, its 2 am in the morning my minds wanders tremendously, there are many ideas and many things inside my mind cycling into the air of imagination.

If only I can get hold of anyone relevant to this circumstances, someone who successfully battled their demon of fears and has become fruitful in their game of passion.  I have a calling and I know I have to face it somehow, this is just the beginning surely in a matter of months I maybe be able to share more and help others in same situation, I need to focus and find that voice within.

Madam Taussauds in Sentosa Island is a must visit place in Singapore, whether you are travelling with kids or alone, this place simply  exceed beyond my expectations of fun and amusement in travelling.

A Week in Singapore

Years back travel is not something common to many of us, the spark of social medias and influencers open doors for everyone to access the world, now the word “ travel “ is no longer uncommon for commoner like myself. TRAVEL = STATUS whether traveling makes one happy, satisfy, relax or etc. it’s becoming a phenomenal status, something to share and something to aim….

My family and I, recently visited Singapore, certainly SINGAPORE is a place my family can settle forever if given a chance, a home close to home. Being in Singapore for the first time has given me chance to explore and observe the country’s finest strength that is : the PEOPLE and it’s government, walking in all areas even in the busiest street of Singapore is pretty much safe, you can feel that positive vibe even at midst of humidity, I did not witness any forms of harassment nor malicious acts against women even in the shortest shorts and silhouette tops, the awareness to create such line of interaction where women and kids are given that absolute freedom to enjoy and wear the clothes they want without fear and men are equality protected.

I absolutely, Love the foods… SINGAPORE is a country where restaurants are abundant, you can find food stalls in all corners of its state, and the best FOOD Hawker centers I’ve ever been!!!

Shopping?? Well….. Singapore has the widest and definitely the best shopping centers in Asia perhaps in the world, I can’t express how much I enjoyed window shopping in Singapore and continuously awe myself with all its glorious architectural designs, truly a country blessed with so many wonders and wealth!!

  I, along with my family sincerely enjoy our stay in Singapore and we would love to come for more adventure soon!!

JUST A THOUGHT : Perhaps maybe I’m just a tourist, shorter stay may leave an impression, nevertheless, the disciplines I’ve experienced in Singapore is something I will cherish, I know it’s wrong to compare Kuwait and Singapore but I still believe with all due respect to the people of Kuwait. Come to think of it, WEALTH, RESOURCES, PEOPLE and TECHNOLOGY Kuwait has it all, perhaps a harder push Kuwait can get there somehow…

My point is: Right rules, Proper implementation and Right people are the keys… we do not just make rules because we are creating a name out of these rules for ourselves, RULES are made for the safety of the people and for the benefit of the country. I just feel that, there are too many rules in Kuwait that are harsh and not soooo “beneficial” making expats lives harder than ever. Though, I am always thankful for the opportunities that Kuwait has given me.
